Park River Drum Workshops

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Park River Productions is a music production company that creates music for TV, film, and other musical settings. In addition, we offer percussion learning for people of all ages and abilities who want to learn in a group or private setting. We have had the pleasure of working with a variety of programs, offering weekly and specialized groups for children with special needs such as behavioral health and developmental disabilities. In our percussion groups and workshops, we utilize inanimate objects such as buckets, paint cans, tables, surfaces, and our bodies to demonstrate how music can be made from everything around us. Our primary goal is to help our participants learn to communicate, listen, strengthen fine & gross motor skills, and build cognitive skills through percussive music. In addition to developing a new appreciation for music, our groups and workshops are a safe environment for learners to express themselves through percussive music and discover their own musical creativity.

PARK RIVER MISSION STATEMENT

Music is a universal language and offers communication in various ways. Music can be felt, heard, and even seen (through musical notation). Park River is an all-inclusive, musical community that ensures a safe, social and therapeutic space to learn and enjoy music through percussion instruments.

GROUPS, WORKSHOPS, & PRIVATE SESSIONS

  • Group Sessions ($750/session): Group sessions will be on a weekly cadence (one day per week) for a one-month period. Each session will include 4-6 participants, and will be dependent on the age and learning desires of the individuals. The length of a session is 45 minutes and will be facilitated by a qualified Park River Productions professional. In these group sessions, we will explore rhythms, music notation, and perform various music styles.

  • Workshops ($1000/workshop): Workshops are a one-time group experience for 7-15 participants. Workshops are generally 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the group. In this workshop, we learn how to listen and play along to music (MP3), as well as learn to listen and play along with one another as a group.

  • Private Sessions (Prices vary see Drum Lessons): Private sessions focus on the individual musical needs and desires of the student. Private sessions are in 30 minute or 1 hour time-frames and can be completed via zoom or at the student’s residence. Click Here for other options
